This banana bread in a mug only takes approximately 5 minutes to cook, and 9 times out of 10 you will already have the ingredients in your cupboard!

Like everything at Fuel Your Life, this banana bread in a mug is also dietitian-approved, as it provides a decent amount of fibre (5.3g) and protein (6.1g), and has less than 1 gram of fat. This way, you can enjoy your treat guilt-free. Plus, being a single-serve makes it great for those who aren’t so good at portion control.

Banana Bread In a Mug

Serves: 1
Prep: Approx. 5 minutes


  • 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp milk of choice
  • 1/8 tsp vanilla essence
  • 2 tbsp mashed banana
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • Extra banana for topping


  1. Mix all the ingredients in a large mug until combined
  2. Place in the microwave for ~1 minute and 20 seconds
  3. Top with extra banana and enjoy!
